                                                               im sure all of us here have been touched(nanira) of the super storm milenyo(sorry for the spelling) and beacuse of that i havent watched some of the episodes of PDA, but i can say im an avid fan of it, last saturday it was the expulsion night and ive heard on wrr that PDA is simulcasted on the station so ive made a way to get a portable walkman just even to listen on it(but of course its much better if i can see it!!!) reggie valdez was hosting that portion and i can say even though i cant see whats really happening the intense and aura of the schollars are still present!!! then each of the schollars take turn in their number and as what reggie have commented they have rally improved so much from day1  and i ceratinly agree

                                                              rosita was one of the nominated and like before each nominees heve theri own solo number, and as dj reggie narated rosita is so good and even her teachers stood up just to clap for her!!!

                                                              on the previous expulsion nigbts one of her relatives give her a stuff toys !!!! thats why she is called as the new nora beacuse nora has her doll maria lionora teresa while rosita has a stuff toy!!!!

Goodbye Gemma!!!

                              

 

        last saturday night was PDA first expulsion night where there were four nominated oona, kristoff, gemma and rosita. unfortunately gemma didnt make it so she was the first schollar to be expulted!!! but honestly i didnt expected that gemma will be expulted because i have seen her perform on the last week of her stay and i can say she really improved compared to the other schollars, well lets just wait and see whats in store for her heres her profile

Gemma is a 20 yr. old medical administrative officer from Australia. She started singing when she was four and loves to perform in front of people. Besides singing, she can also dance and act. Her Australian-Irish father and Filipino mother are very supportive of her chosen career. Being part of a multi-cultural family, she says the only difficult thing about it is having to cook two different meals for her parents due to their different tastes. She is also into sports and was once Miss Philippines-Australia. She is excited about the prospects of entering the Academy because this is what she really wants to do with her life – be a performer.

                see how really talented she is, and i can say she really did perform her song well!!!! so lets just wait for her TV guestings!!!! more power gemma!!!!!

Pinoy Dream Academy vs. Philippine Idol

 after ther launch of  two of the most prestigeous singing and reality search in the world  Fame Academy( the real name of Pinoy Dream Academy  before the franchise of abs-cbn) and philippine Idol, looks like there is a tight competition that is going around PDA of abs and PI of abc.

                             and the big question now is who among the two ranks nuber one in terms of ratings!! well i havent got any news about that but what is very alarming is that the host of philippine idol and one of the avid viewers of philippine idol is from the "kapamilya" channel namely ryan agoncillo(host) and ms. heart evangelista(avid viewer).

                            ived surveyed some of my firends on what they prefer to watch philippine idol or dream academy and why, one of them said that they like philippine idol because they have a very good contestants while pda scholars doesnt have , others says that they prefer dream academy because of the unique concept wich philippine idol doesnt have!!! honestly speaking ived watched one episode of philippine idol and i can say that they are really talented compared to the schollars but PDA aims to squeeze the very best among the schollars, and i can see their improvement from the very first episode up to now!!!

                              lets just wait nad see who among the two will reign the ratings, on youre own opinion who do you like among the two shows!!!!

Introducing BoA!!!!

      well not all living things that are named boa is slimy or ugly!!!! because theres a one of a kind boa in the whole world, as a mattter of fact she is famous in japan and korea her name is Kwon Boa she was born on 5th November 1986 at  Kyung Gi Do korea.

SM’s idea three years ago was to begin to make a huge star who would represent Asia. Their plan was to make a star who would use the Korean music industry as a stepping stone into Asia, and then into the world, in order to spread Korea’s prestige abroad. At that time, the mainstream of the entertainment world was taken over by 13~16 year old female idol stars. The Japanese representative of an idol group, SPEED, was also composed of girls around 15 years of age. With that point given, it was obvious that it would be most favorable for our country to put out a [young] girl who would go abroad. Also, [SM] figured that ‘they needed at least 2~3 years in order to completely finish the casting and training of this future star’, so they concentrated first on casting.

They asked all of the candidates they met at national contests and talent shows, and even those who came to the studio to audition, if they had a younger sibling. And if they did, they went as far as to call those siblings in for auditioning. Through this never-ending effort to find their future star, the jewel that they found was BoA. At that time, BoA’s older brother had come to the studio for an audition. The answer to the question "Do you have a younger sibling" was the one and only 5th grader named BoA. At the time, she was 11 years old. BoA has trained ever since that young age for this day. The fact that she sang at the audition that she had through her older brother was what guided her into becoming a future star. The dancing and singing that the young elementary student did at the audition showed plenty of potential to be a star.

BoA’s talent and passion, and her skills, although not yet fine tuned, were extraordinary in spite of her young age. The company did however worry about how well she could do at such a young age, but they couldn’t just let this opportunity pass them by. As soon as SM found BoA, they quickly met with her parents to persuade them into permitting her training. BoA also showed her parents her strong interest in making her dream of becoming a singer come true. But in the beginning, her parents strongly opposed. Her brothers understood why their parents opposed this decision so strongly; BoA was bringing home very high grades, and they just wanted her to keep studying, not become a singer. But the company who had already found BoA’s talents could not let go of her so easily. In the end, SM was able to persuade her parents with the certainty of her success, and BoA gained the opportunity of a lifetime to live out her dreams.

      even though shes a korean she can also speak fluent japanese as a matter of fact she has 2 officail site one for japanese and one for korean. her song was used as the ending theme of  inuysha entitled every heart!!! even though i cant understand the song i can say it is full of pasion that i can really ralate!!
